Millions have allergies. Did you know that 4% of adults have food allergies? Some allergies have severe symptoms whereas others mild. Here's a quick look at a short list of food allergies and their symptoms!
Some people's body overreact to the protein in an egg's yolks or whites. It sees the protein as a foreigners and like any intruder the body sends chemicals to fight it. The release of these chemicals is the origin of egg allergy symptoms that are:
- Skin reactions like rash or redness or even swelling.
- Stomach pain, nausea, diarrhea or vomiting.
- Respiratory problems.
It's probably the most common among allergies. It's difficult to assume that you have peanut allergy because the symptoms vary from one person to another given that every body reacts in a different way. Some of the standard symptoms are:
- Red spots on the skin.
- Itchy skin.
- Tingling around the mouth and/ or throat.
- Runny nose.
It includes bread, pasta, cake, cookies and any food containing wheat as ingredient. It's not the most frequent type of allergy, but if someone has it in your family the risk becomes greater. Some of its symptoms are:
- Skin rash.
- Stomach cramps, indigestion, nausea and/or vomiting.
