Frying is the most common and popular way of cooking nowadays. If you think about it, junk food is all about frying : burgers, french fries, potato wedges, chicken strips....etc. Did you ever think that oil can get you killed?
Heating your oil can seriously affect your heart health. It can cause a heart attack at anytime. Oil goes through chemical changes when put on high temperature. Try avoiding these types of oil:
- Canola oil
- Corn oil
- Soybean oil
- Vegetable oil
Why? Simply because when heated, these oils convert the good cholesterol in your body into a bad one affecting your blood veins and leading to vascular diseases. Add to it that these oils when used in cooking convert healthy fats into trans fats- you've probably heard of them, right?!
Always ask and make sure you're having either olive oil or coconut oil. Don't go cheap on your health!
