Sally Sawaya is a certified Dietitian who graduated from the American University Of Beirut. One look at her and we could clearly tell that nutrition and promoting a healthy lifestyle were her true vocation in life.
"I always loved nutrition and grew up in a household that values a healthy lifestyle", she said while explaining her long and fascinating academic journey which led her to start her PHD in Biomedical Sciences/ Nutrition.
During our sit-down with her, we could not help but notice how Sawaya's Facebook page, Sally’s Diet Rite, reflects her passion and shows a dedication unlike any other. Earlier today we stumbled upon a mouthwatering festive recipe , "The hot smoked salmon salad with chili lemon dressing"! And that's not all, the page is full of tips and tricks to raise awareness and encourage each one of us to start dieting "Rite".
When we asked Sally about her unique strategy, she answered " every diet is personal and one should take in consideration a person's lifestyle and preferences." She added that nutrition itself promotes a better quality of life and even helps lower certain health risks.
Now for the golden tip we have all been waiting for! Sally explains how we can "survive" the holiday season with flying colours and sends everyone this invaluable message: " We are all prone to temptation, so the best way to deal with the holiday food dilemma is to eat everything we love in moderation. Stick to small amounts, but if you end up overeating on Christmas eve, make sure you cut back on the quantity the following two days, without neglecting the importance of working out."
Sally wrapped things up by saying:" Never go to a party hungry!" And what a precious advice that is!
