Routine is boring and a traditional bedroom is boring as well. When it comes to sharing a bedroom with a partner, boredom is the last thing you want. After all who wants to enjoy life and love in a dead room? To spice up your bedroom and your sex life, follow the following tips on how to make your room romantic and sexy.
As its name suggests a bedroom is all about the bed. And in bed only sleep is allowed, whether it’s sleeping with someone or sleeping and dreaming.
Do not put a TV in your bedroom because studies have shown that couples who place a TV screen there have half the amount of sex of couples who keep the room TV-free. Also move out any other furniture that is not supposed to be there like desks, computers and exercise equipment.
You don’t want to stay in the same room forever so make sure to have a makeover a couple of times a year. Move furniture around and buy new things to put in it, such as artwork or simply bed sheets.
More importantly, keep the lights dim to make the room more romantic. Turn off all bright overhead lights and keep romantic colors like pink lights.
Make sure to also have sweet scented candles to increase the sexy mood and accompany the smell with romantic music.
You don’t want your kids or other family members barging in on you and your partner while getting romantic or having sex. Make sure you add a lock to your door and use a carpet to dampen noises.
People are not the only distractors you need to be out of the room. You should keep stress out as well. One way to do so is to paint the walls in blue, gray or soft shades of rose. You can also add some bold colors (red especially) in some places of the room.
One more trick you can do is adding mirrors to the room to increase the sense of depth.
